For windows, download the execution file and run it.
It will install the API tutorial demo app and the SDK.
To run the application, click on the shortcut on your desktop.
To run the sample code, extract one of the projects under 'C:\ProgramFiles\Walabot\WalabotSDK\example\c++'
(or the equivalent C# example) to your folder and open the project in visual studio.
Compile and run it.
Check the status of the device – if the status shows ‘device disconnected’
Check your cable is fully connected to the USB2 port in your computer

Connect the device before opening the application.
If device was connected whilst the application was open, press on 'ApplyAndCalibrate' to reconnect.

Please repeat the calibration using the apply & calibrate button in the GUI. Please make sure there aren’t any moving parts in front of the Walabot when the calibration is in process.
We currently provide SDK DLL for C++, and .NET DLL for C# with sample codes.
You can build your own wrapper for other languages above our SDK as well (e.g. python/java). An additional wrapper for other programming languages will be provided by us in the next releases.
Connect the cables to your phone and the Walabot. Please make sure you are connecting the right end of the cable to the right port as instructed in the short animation explanation in the application
Select the correct wall (drywall/concrete) and the operation mode – either: pipe detection or raw data.

CALIBRATE. Calibration must be done every time you scan a new wall

You can scan the wall in any direction and check what you see
Most likely because you haven’t yet calibrated the system. The sensor needs to adjust, and calibration is performed to remove background noise. Another reason that can cause that is insufficient battery power in your cellphone.
In pipe mode, the device receives all target signals placed in-front of the sensor and converts the raw data into pipe shapes. Consequently, if you place something in front of the sensor in pipe mode, you will get an image which appears to be a pipe. To make sure you are tracking a pipe, follow the pipe image and continue along the wall and this will enable you to detect the position of pipes and wires hidden behind it.
This level sets the sensitivity of the sensor: higher sensitivity amplifies reflections coming from smaller objects, lower sensitivity eliminates reflections from smaller objects. When looking to detect wiring or piping behind a wall, you may want to play with the sensitivity levels to suit the type of wall and eliminate smaller objects.

That depends on the usage profile. Using it's battery, in the most consuming application, the device operates for up to two hours without charging.
Currently USB 2.0/3.0 is supported. In the future we may add WiFi/BT.
Walabot is available now in the US and EU. We will shortly be receiving regulatory approval for other geographies.
Currently Windows and Linux are supported with new development platforms planned for the near future. Our Walabot PRO in-wall imaging application runs on Android 5.0 and above with OTG (see whitelist of approved phones). Programming languages: C/C++, C#. (Java – future release).
Walabot SDK provides shared libraries with defined API which can be used. In addition, binding code is provided C# (pInvoke).

Walabot can detect changes in resolution of sub-mm. Separation between targets or between target and clutter is determined by the RF band used.

That depends on the frequency band and the number of antenna pairs in a 3D image and it's resolution. Typical image is ~5 frames/sec for complete 3D image for entire system (array+processing in Samsung Note-5 phone). Simple sensor acquisition can be much faster.
