Parallel objects that are close together

  • In images mode a blue dot will appear if two objects are near each other

  • Change to expert mode to see each object separately

Intersecting Objects​

  • In images mode you will not see both objects on screen at once.

  • Change to expert mode and you will be able to see the outline of both objects and follow their path

  • Move Walabot around and explore the area and you will see the second object

Recessed wire

  • When following the path of a wire in images mode and the wire disappears switch to expert mode and try to follow the path

  • If the red coloring in expert mode gets lighter it means the wire is recessed

Detecting Studs and finding the center

  • Scan your walls in pan mode to see a general structure of the wall

  • Locate studs using images mode

  • Switch to expert mode to see the stud in more detail and identify where the center is

  •  If in expert mode you only see a faint outline of the stud, increase intensity to get a clearer look

Step 3

Detecting pipes with advanced tips

  • In Images Mode: a moving pipe image can be an indication of another object nearby.
  • A blue circle is an indication of another object nearby. Move the Walabot around in a wider area to determine if there is a second object
  • Curved pipes do not show as a right angle. The pipe image will shift adjust your unit as shown in the video.

Calibration Tips

Get this wrong and Walabot won’t work

  • Before Calibrating First select wall type

  • Select a large area of the wall and calibrate by moving the Walabot around the whole area (selecting a small area for calibration will not give accurate results)
  • Walabot MUST be placed on the wall before you push the start button and begin calibration

  • Avoid calibration near edges or corners

  • Whenever you change walls, calibrate again
