Get to Know Your Walls

WHICH mode to use and WHEN

Pan Mode – Gives you a big picture view of what’s in your walls

Images Mode – Tells you what each of the objects in your walls are

Expert Mode – Allows you to get more details and follow the path of objects

Pan Mode

Everything you must know

  • Use this to identify the main structures in your wall
  • Scan by either moving from right to left or vice versa
  • Measuring feature tells you where each of the objects are

Images Mode

What Objects can you detect?

  • Detects 3 things – Metal studs, wooden studs, pipe/ wire
  • A blue circle indicates that two objects are near each other, scan in a larger area to see both objects, or move to expert mode to see more details.

  • Walabot will NOT show you two objects on screen at the same time

  • See the anomalies video to see what happens when you reach an intersection between 2 objects

Expert Mode

Valuable tips for this versatile mode

  • Expert mode shows you the raw signals that Walabot detects
  • It is useful for following the paths of pipes or wires

  • You will see a fainter red color when objects are recessed in the wall

  • To properly adjust intensity, go near an area you know has a pipe or wire, like an outlet, adjust intensity so that you can get a clean image of the object, then use that intensity level to scan the rest of the wall
